We’re looking to employ a junior radio administrator to join the Mistral team here at Brownswood, assisting with the weekly workload of Gilles Peterson’s syndicated radio shows, which are broadcast on FM stations across Europe and Asia.
An administrative attention to detail, with an ability to complete paperwork accurately and consistently
Basic audio editing/audio production skills
An interest in Gilles Peterson/Brownswood Recordings, underground music, radio and audio production
An awareness of the online music landscape and social media trends
Computer literacy, with experience in using content management systems and social media platforms
CORE WEEKLY RESPONSIBILITIES
Completing playlist and PRS documents for Gilles Peterson Worldwide and The Worldwide 60 Shows
Using an audio sequencer to calculate timings of tracks
Uploading shows to Soundcloud
Liaising with radio stations on show delivery
Writing copy to accompany radio shows
Updating the show’s webpage, and promoting shows and content across social media platforms
Planning and booking Worldwide Family Mixtape guest mixes, whilst maintaining the GPWW Soundcloud archive.
This role will begin as one day a week (on Thursdays which is radio delivery day) working from our offices in North London.
Although this is initially an administrative role, if you’re passionate about music, radio and audio production, this role could expand to include audio and radio production responsibilities, as well as assisting with editing/delivering podcasts and recording interviews, DJ mixes, and sessions at the Brownswood Basement studios.
